Hive Kitchen · Week 2

This is the easiest "wow" appetizer we know: warm brie, crunchy pecans and a drizzle of caramel apple honey. Save it for game day, book club or your Thanksgiving table.

Caramel Apple Baked Brie with Honey and Pecans at a glance

Ingredients

  • 1 wheel (8 oz) brie
  • 3 tbsp Apple-y Ever After
  • ½ apple, diced small
  • ¼ cup chopped pecans
  • Crackers, apple slices or baguette for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat the oven to 350°F. Set the brie in a small baking dish or on a lined sheet pan.
  2. Top with the diced apple and pecans, then spoon the honey over everything.
  3. Bake 10–12 minutes, until the brie is soft and starting to ooze.
  4. Serve warm with crackers and apple slices.

Tips

  • Leave the rind on. The rind holds the cheese together while it bakes and is safe to eat.
  • Serve it warm. Brie firms up as it cools, so bring it to the table right out of the oven.

Common questions

Do you remove the rind before baking brie?

No. Leave the rind on so the brie holds its shape in the oven. It softens as it bakes and is edible.

Can I prep baked brie ahead?

You can dice the apple and chop the pecans earlier in the day. Top and bake the brie right before guests arrive so it's served warm.
